THE WORLD CUP IS COMING TO AN END AS SPORTS LOOK TO GET UNDERWAY...

ESFC have been back in pre season training for the last two weeks and the summer of football looks set to continue. Numbers at training have been excellent and the management team are delighted to see a number of under 18s from the local area also joining in for added competition. Sports have decided to run with only a first team this season, however, manager Ben Milner will look to promote from the under18s during the course of the season should the need arise.

Sports return to action in the Ron Thomas Cup next Tuesday against Banbury United which kicks off the pre season matches. Kick off 7.30pm

Manager Ben Milner has been busy adding to the squad and the management team after the departure of Matt Giles and Jake Butler to Redditch United. Sports have also lost Reece Bayliss and James Montague from the playing squad.

Easington are pleased to announce that Tommy Kinch will step in as assistant manager whilst Ali Robinson and Steve Prentice will be senior coaches. Ali Whitrow completes the management team as the club physio.

Easington will look to build on their success last year and will hope to mount a promotion challenge after just missing out. The league has a number of unknown sides with teams being moved across from the Toolstation Western division and two new teams from a very strong Gloucestershire Senior League. All of the squad from last season have all signed on and Milner has recruited Henry Rose, Dan Watkin, Niall Higgins, Lee Farrow and Craig Pearman to add further competition for places. There are a number of seasoned Hellenic players also training with the team and an excellent selection of youth players with JPL and MJPL football experience and so things are looking very encouraging.

More details regarding pre season friendlies and the FA VASE and FA CUP to follow over the coming days.
