Another decent performance from our Development team in the Byfield and Bethel Cup only to lose out on penalties

The team featured 14 players 18 and under, including 4 16 year olds.

Sports took the lead when Shickle was played through to slot under the keeper.

Sports continued to dominate but weary of the long ball from Halse to the left winger.

Sports attacked and when Wojcik was fouled on the edge of the box the ref said play on. Halse raced up the other end to score.

Sports took the lead again when Shickle, who was a constant threat throughout, finished after Wojcik stole it from the keeper.

Halse can back into the game when Rimmer fouled Benjamin inside the box. Penalty converted. Halse took the lead when good work down the right saw a cross finished at the back post.

Sports rallied and produced several chances for Blee, Lawrence and Shickle. Hunter then flicked through for Wojcik to finish with his left foot.

Sports had the better of the game and passed the ball well once again

Penalties decided the game with Halse winning 4-3.

Another decent performance by our young side who go again in the Jim Newman Tournament on Thursday against Clanfield FC
